Three Stone Arrows 12 December 2024 Another hot day, another creek! Today: Explorers Brook! The ridge we followed must have been a fire trail a long time ago: two tracks were visible in one spot but it was mostly covered with vegetation. The views were fantastic! XXXXX 5 December 2024 This creek had been on my wish list for a long time. The upper section is nice and enclosed by cliffs. I was curious about the lower section… A few 100 metres in and the creek opened up, inviting the sun and the vegetation. There were a few interesting sections but nothing outstanding. In any case it was the right place to be on a hot sunny day!
Mount Hay Range Swamps 16 May 2024 A pleasant walk in the woods and the swamps! I even managed to get my feet mostly dry when crossing the many swamps (or is it the same big swamp?) we encountered in the area. The surprise were two waterfalls, one with grinding grooves. The swamps were teeming with flowers: banksia, button grass and pink swamp heath but no leeches! Another area to explore in the future!
Undisclosed Creek 30 March 2024 I had unfinished business with this creek: 600 m of terra incognita which turned out to be nice! The rain and storms of the last few years were not kind to the creek: logs, debris, impenetrable scrub made our progress slow!
