Jungaburra Brook Area

Jungaburra Brook Area

Bill wanted to access a cliff ledge that he had spotted from the Jungaburra ledges. We made several attempts but we could not find an access down to this mythical ledge. As time was getting away, we decided to walk along the north side of the Jungaburra Ledge and exit at Jungaburra Brook. The creek was dry!
We continued along the dry brook looking at tracks made by animals. We arrived to a spot where the water just disappeared in the sand.

Upper Jungaburra Brook did not have much to offer and we exited up a hill which took us to the base of Watertrough Hill. A large rock beckoned and we climbed the hill up to the Bell trig station, complete with a survey mark, a humongous cairn and a 360-degree view! Then it was down to the Bells Line of Road and the cars.
