Jugglers Canyon

I had put my hand for Boars Head but the 50 km/h winds gusting to 70 km/h put a stop to that! We also had a beginner among our midst so Jugglers Canyon was a nice proposition!

I had been there in July for training on a very cold day – I think I had four layers of clothing and it was barely enough! Today was perfect: no wind and the coolness of the shade!
I was at the head of the group: I barrelled through the first optional abseil, by-passed the second optional abseil which I don’t like and set the ropes for abseil three: I was not sure whether the ropes would reach but they did! I waited for the group to arrive and then left to help with the rigging of abseil four: the one that ends in the pool! Once at the bottom, I took some time to take some photographs…
Abseil five and six followed: these are the nicest ones! By that time, I was hungry! We re-located to the Beauchamp Falls where I soaked the sun… before the walk through the Grand Canyon and up the Pilcher Track.
