2025 Navshield – Day 01

Only one hour-drive to the NavShield 2025 Edition: Jenolan State Forest and Kanangra-Boyd National Park! I expected it to hard: the area is not know for its undulating hills!

Team Blueys was there in no time for a change! After finding a camping location away from the boggy ground, it was time to register and get our maps – yes at 16:00! We were soon joined by the Springwood Bushwalking Club, a NavShield regular. 

We plotted: checkpoints, routes and strategies! I did not find it easy to find a route that would not be a heartbreaker! As the sun dipped over the horizon, it was time to light a fire. Kevin surprised me by cooking a feast! We continued talking about the Plan and decided on a route. We could now relax by the fire.
