Murphy’s Glen To Ingar

Murphy’s Glen To Ingar

As I am planning a navigation exercise in the area, this walk was the perfect excuse to check the vegetation.
I am not usually keen on fire trails but this walk turned out to be quite nice: eucalyptus forest, rainforest, huge rocks and Blue Mountains ash trees, a creek crossing and a waterfall …. The grey misty weather lifted the colours of the bush.

We eventually arrived at Ingar where a National Parks crew was finishing their tea break. After a quick chat, we had the place to ourselves!

There was talk to do the Bedford Creek Lookout track but frankly having a conversation with friends sitting at a table overlooking the lake and waterfall seemed a better proposition!
I toyed with the idea of swimming but I did not want to share with the resident red-belly!

It is with great regret that we left Ingar. What a wonderful place!
