GERONIMO CANYON

GERONIMO CANYON

The weather forecast promised a hot day. It had been several years since I had been to Geronimo Canyon so it seemed like a good idea although I was not looking forward to two steep climbs!

After an uneventful descent to the Wollangambe and a climb through the cliff line, we were soon in the coolness of the canyon. Although not very long, it is a lovely canyon and we took our time admiring the canyon. Eventually we were wading/swimming/scrambling along the Wollangambe River. At the exit after lingering in the sun hoping to squeeze more water out of the swimsuits, we tackled the climb back to the RFS shed.
