Yuri wanted to revisit this area after the approval of the extension of the Springvale Coal Mine in 2015. The area we were to visit has a working mine below!
Gang Gang Canyon is really a creek and a scrubby one after the 2019-20 fires. We visited Gang Gang Caves. The tunnels were fun. The goal was Gang Gang Falls. After three years of rain, the falls did not have a lot of water. A photograph of the falls taken in 2015 show more flow.
As we returned back to the cars, we crossed the upper reaches of West Gang Gang Creek: the creek was dry.
